Congratulations to Sandra Beckett, Curry Health Network's March 2021 Service Excellence Superstar!

Curry Health Network is pleased to announce that Sandra Beckett, Housekeeping Supervisor at Curry Medical Center in Brookings, was selected as the March 2021 Service Excellence Superstar after having been nominated for a coworker and recognized for demonstrating compassion, stewardship, teamwork, and excellence that went above and beyond the ordinary.

"Looking out my window at CMC, I could see a person in distress trying to back her trailer out of the space behind the building downstairs. She had apparently taken a wrong turn, requiring her to back out her vehicle with the trailer attached. After approximately 6 to 8 attempts, Sandra went out to see if she could help. The person was so happy to have Sandra's help. She has experience backing up with trailers, got into the vehicle with the owner in the passenger seat and backed the vehicle out, driving it to the upper level where it was parked in a position so the person could easily leave when it was time. The person had dropped off her spouse as a patient and tried to drive around the building for an easy exit.

Sandra took the time to help a person in distress at our facility, going way beyond."
