Amber Sutter Recognized as CHN's December 2022 Service Excellence Superstar
Amber Sutter, RN, BSN was nominated by a co-worker and selected by a committee of her peers to be named Curry Health Network's Service Excellence Superstar of the Month for December 2022.
She was recognized for her compassion, teamwork, and excellence when she, at the very last minute, volunteered to cover a few hours during night shift in the emergency department -- on her day off -- when the nurse scheduled to work had a sudden, serious family emergency. Amber normally works dayshift and ended up working the entire 12-hour shift.
She has worked at Curry Health Network (CHN) since 2005, when began her career as a lab assistant/phlebotomist. In 2010, she earned her nursing degree and began working in the Acute Care Unit and then, in 2015, Amber began floating to the emergency department. In August 2015, the emergency department became her home department. Amber has also served as a Nursing House Supervisor.
CHN congratulates Amber on her award, and sincerely appreciates that she placed patient care as her highest priority by stepping up to fill the staffing shortfall. She truly demonstrated service excellence to our patients and to her co-workers.
